My Rainy Movie Day

This Saturday Morning I woke up to the sound of rain and darky gloom.. that I love so much about this time of year...the only sucky thing about the scenario is that I have a cold. Anyways, The morning started with my craving for a Caramel Apple Spice Cider from Starbucks... and I was excited to get it with my "Free Birthday Drink" Coupon from Starbucks, however it seems to have gone missing. Luckily I remembered I had a gift card to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. So, I went to Coffee Bean and got myself a Peppermint Chocolate Ice Blended. Now, although I have nothing against Coffee Bean, and my drink is rather yummy.. I still prefer Starbucks, Anyways, With the ambience of the rain that makes you want to curl up in bed and with the fact that I have a cold, which also makes you want to curl up in bed.. I decided, That I will indeed curl up in bed, and have a movie marathon day. So, that is what I am doing.. Watching as many movies as I can... with a little reading in between.

8:30 AM - Notting Hill
10:30 AM - Liberty's Kids S1 Ep. 1 (ok it isn't a movie but I got excited to see that it was on netflix)
10:52 AM - Liberty's Kids S1 Ep. 2
11:16 AM - When In Rome
1:11 PM - Julie & Julia
3:55 PM - Liberty's Kids S1 Ep. 3
4:19 PM - The Duchess
6:51 PM - The Count of Monte Cristo

and I think that is where my magical movie journey shall end  for the night = )

Halloween

My Halloween for the most part was uneventful for the most part.. given I was sick for it (i know what a shocker...) Although, Pumpkins were carved and the apartment was decorated... Candy readily waiting in a bowl.

There were no costumes, or for that matter trick or treaters. I would say it probably has to do with the fact that I live in an Apartment Complex. So later, in the night was I gave up on trick or treaters coming B and I decided to see what a Toluca Lake Halloween looked like and boy were we surprised. As started walking through the neighborhood.. I noticed instantly that ALL these people couldn't be residents of Toluca Lake.. and I soon noticed that parents from sketchier parts of LA, Burbank and Hollywood. Take there kids trick or treating in TL instead of there neighborhood.. which makes a lot of sense given TL is EXTREMELY safe. Not only were the sidewalks and streets full of people but all the houses had lines upon lines of kids waiting for candy [Note To Self: Buy Costco Size bags of Candy when I Move to TL] Most houses in TL were decorated to the Tee and there were many haunted houses. One house even took pictures of the kids and families in costumes. Toluca Lake was the more sober version of Santa Barbara. As we walked Past Celebs homes..we noticed that they had body guards give out candy for them and we also noticed many parents hired body guards to take their kids trick or treating.  On our walk we were walking by this house that was blaring Lady Gaga from a DJ booth.. people dancing and lights flashing (yes, they were having a come one come all DJ'd party in their front yard) as we round the corner to the home.. I hear that undeniable sound of a chainsaw. I gripped Brandon's hand tightly and as I round the corner there he is chasing people with his chainsaw and instantly I ran across the street screaming "nono...nono..no!" and hid behind a tree. You see a few Halloween's ago a bunch of us went threw a haunted maze and my now ex best friend and I ended up getting cornered in the maze by a guy with a chainsaw.. since then I have been haunted by that noise. Needless to say I freaked and that definitely gave me a heart attack for the night. However, It was cool to see all the people and homes all dressed up, one things for sure TL does it big.

In Other news of my week, there isn't TOO much to say. I am happy that the San Francisco Giants won the world series! Although, I don't bleed orange and black.... the Giants are still in my roots. So to see them take the title is epically amazing. I also, will be heading to San Jose with Brandon and my best friend Natasha ( i know I just got back from up North, but it's a favor for Tesha) I'm excited cause I am hoping for a girls night out and to hang with some friends. Besides that.. life if pretty much the same old ish. Until something interesting happens in my life.. then I will blog again.. Nighty Night.

PS. Followers and Comments are greatly appreciated on all blogs and posts. I would esp. enjoy comments on my book review Blog.. The Lost Book Reports.

0 days Till I'm 21

My 21st Birthday Has Come and Gone.. Being That My 21st Birthday Was On A Monday.. and I was Sick the Day was Not Eventful.. However, I got Plenty of Birthday Wishes and Even Flowers Sent to me!!! Brandon also, got me a Opal Claddagh Ring. Which Has A LOT of meaning to me. The Claddagh Ring is a Traditional Irish Wedding Ring but now used to symbolizes other things as well. The Hands Symbolize Friendship, The Heart Love and The crown Loyalty. What Makes this ring so special besides its literal meaning is the fact that I have Irish roots and that the heart is an Opal which is my Birthstone. (PS sorry I randomly capitalize letters.. it's a thing I do).. When I was Feeling better, B and I went to dinner at Mo's which is a restaurant here in Toluca Lake. Normally I am known to drink like a fish.. but I guess.. abstaining from drinking for 10 months and the fact that I know weigh 100 pounds instead of 132 has changed me tolerance cause after my 1st drink of the night I was already tipsy.. The night was fun and the Bartender at Mo's kept giving me specially blended drinks.. I finished the night at Paty's (cause they always treat me well) with Birthday Cake = ) Nothing eventful but still fun. However in about a week or two my future Sister - in - Law  Kristal is throwing me a birthday party at her place.. So.. I am EXTREMELY excited for that!

Also, on my Birthday Taylor Swift's 3rd Album came out and of course, I went out and Bought it..lets just say it is EPIC. What I love about her songs is they are easily relate-able... but they are based on her life.. so, like many others.. you find yourself trying to figure out who the songs are about. I can honestly say that this CD has been on repeat in my apartment.. in fact, I am listening to it while I am typing this blog. Over half of her songs have me relating them to my life.. I love it.. it has also inspired me to sing again and to also, learn guitar.. acoustic of course.. but I'll have to go find a cheap guitar first.. HAHA.

As far as my life goes. I am SO SO SO happy to be home in Toluca Lake now. I just have to get back into my routine here. Which is easier said than done, but I will.. <3

Absentee Blogger

I have been sucking at Blogging lately... mainly because I have been up North for about a month now and also, because I have had nothing to really blog about....

My trip up North was for mainly 2 reasons. I took my Cousin Taylor to see the Jonas Brothers / Demi Lovato / Camp Rock 2 Concert. That was on Sept 19th and that was a LONG day.. The day began early with me picking Taylor up in Gilroy then heading to San Jose Municipal Stadium to watch the Road Dogs play.. which is a Softball team the Jonas Brothers started. They use it to promote X the Text and it is also a neat way for the fans to grow closer to the band. It was a surprisingly Hot day, but well worth it... I wasn't too annoyed by screaming fan girls either. The Road Dogs won the game and Taylor also got to meet Alysson Stoner. Here are some pics from the game.

After the game, we drove back to Gilroy, Dropped Taylor off.. then I drove back to Hollister.. and I changed... then drove back to Gilroy to pick Taylor up cause she changed also .. then we were Off to the Concert.

The Concert was Amazing and we had a wonderful time, but we were both wiped out by the time we got to the parking lot.

My Trip up here Also, including some bonding time with my Best Friend Natasha and her Boyfriend Shane at Vasona and a week of babysitting my favorite kids Alec and Makenna... who drive me absolutely insane but are also Hilarious.  What Else... What Else...? OH! I also, got to see Sarah Palin speak on the 14th of October. That was SO SO exciting. She was a truly amazing and inspirational speaker. She spoke about her family, the Giants winning and then took to issues that Californians are upset with... referring to Pelosi, Boxer and Reid as..." permanently living on a unicorn ranch is fantasyland".

I also spent time with my Dad, Susan and my Grandpa Thomas.. some yummy dinners and watching the Giants dominate. The rest of my trip has been somewhat boring... and I go home tomorrow after getting my hair cut... I have many reason for being excited to be going home.. 1. Being I miss Toluca Lake 2. Being I will be closer to Brandon 3. Being my 21st birthday is 4 days AWAY! My plans for my 21st birthday are pretty simple... On the day of my birthday which is a Monday... Brandon and I will Start with Breakfast and my favorite diner Paty's  then the whole day a Disneyland. For My Party.. my sister - in - law Kristal offered to throw me one, but that wont be until November.. I am SO excited for that. I am also really excited for my 1st Halloween in Toluca Lake... although It probably won't be exciting given Trick or Treaters don't really go to apartment complexes... but I am excited to get Pumpkins and crave them! Ok, this blog is now getting boring.. so until my life becomes more interesting.. PEACE

I'm sorry this wasn't that boring when I thought about it in my head... but than I sat down to type this and my body just got really tired.
My plan is go back to acting I guess, I got a modeling offer, which I think I will take and than I think I will join Central casting to earn vouchers for my SAG card. Who knows. That's the only thing going on in my life

I Call It Progress

Warning Some Foul Language Ensues

I HATE SPIDERS.
They are my mortal enemy and like many people I have no good reason to hate them.
It's more of a phobia really, which in that case would lead me to the wise words of my Psychology 3 Professor "there is always a reason for our phobias, no matter how weird or random they seem" I would have to disagree with her. This is also coming from a professional who was shocked and almost laughed at my fear of being touched by feet, my fear of rock slides(which does have a logical reasoning behind it) and my fear of amputations/amputees. Anyways, like I said.. I have no real reason to hate these creatures... besides the fact that they really are creepy and crawly and just "AGH!".
SO, This is what I call progress. I live on my own. Meaning no more waking Dad or Mom in the middle of the night to kill the spider (although Mom is really no help), it means I have to woman up and do it on my own. Which is hard, Because all I want to do is scream, run out of the room close to tears yelling "KILL IT! KILL IT! KILL IT!" . So, this leads me to my predicament; around midnight, a small but not TOO small of a spider was spotted at the edge of my ceiling. Too high for me to kill. I continued reading my book... but kept my eye on it, waiting for it to make it way down the wall and be in perfect range for my shoe. I am aware that smacking it with my shoe, in an apartment complex, where I share walls is utterly rude; but frankly I don't give a shit. This is a life of death matter! Under no circumstances will I have squish a spider we toilet paper.. I like it to be quick easy and painless. I know the bitch his dead, I don't need to feel it eighty creepy crawling legs squirming through the tissue. Unfortunately, this spider is on to me, he knows I have my eyes set on him and he knows the price he will pay is he decides to descend down the walls. It's is now 5:30 am... almost 6 hours after the initial sighting and he has managed to make his way round the room, but never faltering from being on the ceiling. He is now, at a stand still. Which is driving me insane. I am tired my eyes, can barely stay open, my vision is blurry, but there is no way I will be able to sleep till I know this fucker is dead.
This Is Progress. I have not screamed, I have not ran out of my apartment. I am handling this like a mature adult.

Funny thing is this blog was originally going to be about my kitten Martini and was going to written later in the day after I had gotten sleep and had been productive and I will get to writing that blog..I just needed to write something now to keep me awake.

That's What They Call Life.

I find that I feel that there is SO much going on in my life, but when I really sit back and think about my days... there really is nothing going on...

Bailey has moved down here with me... which is nice = ) Bailey now lives with me, because my mom moved to Hollister. That was bittersweet since she move out of our home of 18 years. 18 years of my life were in that home.... so, it was hard. Although, I do like the new house she has moved into. Anyways... Bailey has been Bailey. She is a mini star down here. Really every where we go SHE makes friends and really has helped me get to know people. At the moment I live in a studio. So that would be Bailey, my three cats (Aurora,Pandora and Martini) and I all living under the same roof. To be honest it's not bad but Bailey needs more space. So, after Bailey moved in everything was going pretty well. Until.. the neighbor below complained that Bailey was too loud at night... this is a complete lie.. given Bailey sleeps with me ALL night.. that dog is spoiled.. she refuses to sleep in her dog bed.. which has now basically become the cats bed... Anyways.. My manager decided that Bailey had to go. This had come literally at the worst most Ironic time too. The day before I had quit my job... and also took time to unpack those extra boxes I had lying around my Living room/office/bedroom... and after I had permanently made the studio my address. This lead to a weak of uncertainty with the fact that I had no cash.. I was behind on bills and now basically had to find a new place in Toluca Lake, that accepted animals and was bigger. Although, I was uncertain inside... I kept telling myself that I had to have faith that it would all work out and a week later it basically did. I ended finding a beautiful 2 bedroom 1 bath a street away from where I am now. That accepts my pets and isn't CRAZY expensive (although I am getting help from my loving mother) and another new job. Also, My manager decided to tell me today that Bailey can stay and I am good (as long a the lady below doesn't complain again). I'm hopefully getting this 2 bedroom but if not. Everything really worked itself out.. at least for now. Who knows what tomorrow will bring me.

In other news. I am excited for this new job. I work in the entertainment industry and I only work on weekends = ) So, lets hope.. none of my random issues happen to screw this one up. I went on a photo shoot for head shots yesterday in downtown LA and really the experience was "eh" we were losing light, it was windy and well since my photographer didn't have a permit we had to cut the shoot short. I was suppose to get my photos on a CD but they asked if I could come back next Monday in the morning for better shots. However...I don't think I will. The photographer was rude(not in person but through messages) Before the shoot he scolded me on the photos of my profile being as they are not professional and that I shouldn't have a couples picture up. First off I am NOT a professional model. I do not claim to be one and I am just starting out so you get what you get...Than after the shoot he messaged me to scold me for bringing an escort to my shoot who is also my Fiancé. Telling me again that it was unprofessional of me and that none of the other models did it. So here is my response to him (since I cannot say it on the site, cause that would be really unprofessional) I ALWAYS bring an escort says so on my profile. The escort will always be male and for now it will always be my Fiancé because A: he can protect me and B: he's the only guy I know it Los Angeles. As far as, the other amateur models not bring an escort. They are DUMB and that is how you hear the story of the aspiring model who went to a photo shoot by herself and got killed. And if we want to talk about being Professional... a professional probably wouldn't shoot me in his sweats. A Professional would call his model when the location has changed.. so she doesn't have to get lost in Downtown LA for 45 min. to find the location and a professional would have gotten the god damn permits in the first PLACE. = )

Countdown Until My 21st Birthday: 67 days

I AM SO EXCITED! I have No idea what I am going to do! I want it to be wild and crazy and big, yet chic, sophisticated and small lol... Mostly everyone I know won't be 21 yet.. So, I have can't decide what I want to do. I really want to go to dinner somewhere nice than party the rest of the night away at the Chateau Marmont.... but who knows.... plus that's A LOT of money... but it would be so memorable I think (hopefully in a good way) As for gifts... I can't think of anything I REALLY want.. besides my Mercedes ML350.. There are things I would like to have but nothing I really WANT. Although, I will be happy with whatever I get. Even if it's just my friends showing up... but gifts are nice = P

And that is my life as of now one big clusterfuck of whatever. = )

Worst Week EVER

You Hear... people have Bad Days.. well I have Bad weeks... UGH. So Beginning on the 19th... I got news that an acquaintance of mine... died. = ( RIP Eric Woodlief...

On Tuesday... I enjoyed a wonderful day at Disneyland with Natasha...

On the way home from Irvine.. my tire blew out at 10pm on the 5 in the middle of Griffith Park...
On Wednesday My Computer Broke Down = (
On Thursday Brandon and I decided to go visit friends at Disneyland.. even though He had a thing for work in the morning and I was going to leave to visit my mom up North. On Our way back we were detoured 3 times.. getting a lost and we didn't arrive at my apartment until 2 am!!!!!!!!!
I can't remember the other things that happened to me but it was a constant week of bad luck.
This Monday the 26th I went on my 2nd interview for MJ Marketing and shadow a trainer for a day... later that night I got the job! YAY! Than on my 1st day of work I got really sick.. I suspect Dehydration.. but for the most part it's all good. = ) I also hit a lucky streak and won $110 in scratchers. So it looks like my luck has turned around. = ) I start work again tomorrow! Also, Brandon got a job with SVK Marketing... so life is good. What else what else? I finished reading Love The One You're With.. I don't know if I said that already and began reading Eat, Pray, Love.... You can read my reviews on the books and other books on my OTHER new blog The Lost Book Reports.

Countdown till My 21st Birthday -- 87 more days!

Another Day.. Not Another Dollar...YET

Hmm, not much going on In the life of Kelsey.

Went Back up north to San Jose for 4th of July which was quite pleasant. Enjoyed hanging with family and my besties Natalie, Natasha and Natasha's Boyfriend Shane.. As well, as my Fiance Brandon. It was filled with games of Apples to Apples, Taboo and Scrabble's newest game SLAM! catching up, laughter and amazing FOOD! The rest of my week up north was pretty plain jane, although I did enjoy a nice spa day and Los Gatos' The Spa with my mom. BTW, I definitely recommend The Spa. The prices are fairly decent for the services you get and the offer a variety of services.. (no not THOSE kind of services).. Ladies, there dressing room is a womens heaven and do not visit with out a steam shower. Then later on Brandon and I drove down south together given he is moving to Santa Barbara...

The Drive down was alright, minus me suffering severe car sickness; which isn't something I usually get. We unpacked since Brandon is sharing a small room with his friend.. I offered my apartment as storage for these things.. plus I'm sure he'll visit a lot.. so they won't be too missed. Before he left we spent time at Disneyland and California Adventure..Got a glimpse of World Of Color, which from what we saw it looked great! Unfortunately, you need Fast Passes to get any front views of the show... So, going to have to wait awhile before we see it. I also got a new kitten.. very young, tiny and an orange tabby. She is VERY cute and after LONG talks and voting, I finally named her Martini.

My other cats are not too thrilled with Martini and it's funny cause since I got her my cats stopped acting like kittens and started acting like bitchy old cats. It is funny and sad to watch Martini desperately try to win their approval. The only major problem with her is the fact that I had to potty train her.. however, there has yet to be an accident since.

As far as life, I had an interview with a company today and It seemed to go really well and I start Shadowing at the end of the month. Besides that it has been CRAZY hot down here and makes my apartment bearably HOT.. So a lot of time in the pool, watching tv, walks every other day and reading. Although, my reading is still taking me forever. I am still reading Love The One You're With by Emily Giffen. Who's books I could sing praises for all day long.

SO.. right now, that is my boring life.

Under Pressure

There has been something I've been struggling with. The pressure of following the path you should and the pressure of wanting to do things my own way. The reason this is a struggle for me; is because there are things I know I SHOULD do, I know I NEED to do, but sometimes what I should do and need to do aren't how I want to do them. I would rather start my businesses now and kick butt, than take the time... Go to school, get my degrees, start working at a company work my way up and by the time I'm 30 finally make enough money to start a life. I don't want that. I want to start my business NOW, I want to make enough money to start my life NOW or at least before I'm 25. I get so stressed out because... I have SO many great ideas and so much passion and I feel I am always told I need to wait, I need to do it, this set way. I don't do well when I'm put into a box. I can't work that way.

My life plan down here keeps changing because, I'm trying to please the norm, while pleasing myself and I'm learning that, I can't pull myself in two different directions and be happy.. and everytime I compromise and please both needs I'm still not completely happy.

The Want- Get My AA and BA. Be Successful and Make Money. Own My Own Businesses.

The Comprise - Go to school, get a part-time job. Eventually get my AA and BA, make some money and eventually start my career = Not Happy

The Revision - Do Online School, Get Full-Time Job, Make A Lot Of Money.= Potential Happiness, but not what I want.

The New Plan - Do Online school, Get a Part-time job(not even going to be picky), make a business plan, get a business loan, open my own business. = HAPPY

I'm tired of waiting, I'm done waiting it's time to go at it gung-ho and do it my way. I want to be successful and accomplished by 25. I don't want to START at 25. I found out this is me this is what I do, I need to not wait for what I'm suppose to do, for someone to hold my hand. I learn doing it my way, even if it's harder. Will I mess up? Sure, but will I eventually succeed? YES! Here we go this it. I'm ready to start my business. I'm ready.

Back to Reality

Lately, I have been obsessing over some of the reality shows... and I can't help BUT get absorbed in some of these shows and form my own opinion. Yes, I am aware not everything is what it seems, but their are some things you just can't edit THAT well. I'm going to be giving my opinions on a shit load of reality show.

The Hills- This show died when Lauren Conrad left, I still watch it, but more out of habit and because it's before The City.

The City- I love love love this season! Whitney is well whitney, her line is coming together and I'm enjoying her. Kelly Cutrone, is amazeballs, she is all about tough love. Roxy, sometimes, I love her and sometimes I hate her. but to be honest I think why most of us still tune in, is to watch Olivia and Erin. Olivia is a self-entitled BITCH! After all the stunts she has pulled, the way she talks to her bosses... she should have been fired by now. Anyone else would have been. I love Erin's attempts to get Olivia fired and although, I think it sometimes may make Erin look desperate... come on? If you had to work with someone who was constantly snooty, walks around like their shit don't stink, and can't even do their job. You would act like that too.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey- This Show is just a train wreck. I stopped watching it half way through, they are ALL crazy and trashy.

The Real Housewives of New York- I have grown to love this show.. I watched Season 1 than got over it... cause of all the bitchiness. However, this last season I tuned in late and fell in love. Everyone had been bagging on Bethanny half the season. Which I think she was greatly mis-represented. Everyone else really doesn't do THAT much for me as, I can't see me ever actually being friends with them... However, I do love the newest addition, who is just kinda there and enjoying life. Now, that Kelly Bennisinom or whatever is legitimately CRAZY. I mean this woman needs to see a therapist, talk about uneducated psycho-babble and the weirdest ability to actually re-write history. Bitch, needs some meds.

Bethanny Getting Married?- This follows Bethanny (from the real housewives of NY) and her life with her Fiance, getting married and being Pregnant. I love Bethanny, she has really stolen my heart. She reminds me in a lot of ways my mom and her relationship with her fiance reminds me a lot of my relationship with Brandon. She is funny and she is normal. I cannot wait to continue watching the season.

The Bachelorette - I was So excited when I found out the Bachelorette was going to be Ali! Mind you I have never watched an season of The Bachelor or Bachelorette till this season and I only watched the bachelorette cause I watched the Bachelor before. My only problem with this show is the rose ceremony mainly because I grow attached to a lot of these guys and feel so heartbroken when many of them don't receive a rose. I mean Ali has gotten rid of some great guys, but they weren't right for her I could see that. As for this past episode I am SO SO SO glad that she finally got rid of Casey. This kid was scary stalker possessive crazy. Although Justin Is cute, I stumbled upon a spoiler and know that the other guys being mean to him and their suspicions were correct... (unfortunately) which upsets me. Knowing some great guys went home, for him to be there. My Top 3 picks are Kirk, Chris L. and Roberto. I like the other guys but these are the true blue men she needs.

Hmmm.. what else? Of in other news last seasons Bachelor Jake and his fiance Vienna (the women Ali competed with) have broken up and I want to say I am happy since I NEVER liked Vienna and I continue not to like her. Her and Jake officially broke up Today and this chick is ALREADY doing TV interviews and playing up that she is such a victim (which I call BULLSHIT on) I mean the girl took a perfectly staged picture of her break up letter, with the engagement ring next to it.. WHO does that!? Bitch is crazy.

I think that is about it for my reality show opinions. Have an Amazing Night

Twenty-One

Hello Party People!

Starting off first.. I have a joint blog with my fiance.. so If anyone.. and my anyone I mean ONE... of you readers would like to check it our... please feel free to do...
http://brandongregorio.blogspot.com/

Now, off to my thoughts going on in my brain now.. So much. I just posted my 1st blog entry on my joint blog and that is exciting...
I am Now home in Toluca Lake and having a blast. A lot to say really and I'm sure, I will forgot half the things I wanted to say while typing this. We will start off with my Trip to San Jose... 2 weeks ago I made a trip to San Jose.. For several reasons.. My Mom's birthday.. she turned a beautiful 30 years old and honestly hasn't aged a day! ; ).. on top of that was my brother in-law Nick's Graduation and Going Away Party (to boot camp) and Linnea asked me to baby sit Alec and Makenna Memorial Weekend. Which I was glad to do. My trip started a little drive back the 7th (Monday). Brandon was with me the weekend before for our 1 year of engagement so on the 24th (monday) I decided to drive up with him and than fly back down on the 8th (tuesday). We scrambled to clean, my house... pack and get our kitties all situated....this was the longest I had ever left them on their own. The trip ended up being pretty much a bust... Minus hanging out with B mostly. Brandon and I both had to work the night of Nick's Graduation.. which, we were okay with cause we'd make it up to him by being at his grad. party.. which Nick than decided he didn't want because he wasn't going to join the marines anymore! So besides My mom's birthday and babysitting.. I had come up for nothing... I for the most part enjoyed the trip though and came home Tuesday night(the 8th) to 2 alive cats and a surprisingly STILL clean place.

What else...what else. I have seen 3 movies since the trip and now. Killers (with Brandon, Tim Burton's/Disney's Alice In Wonderland and Shutter Island. Killers was a decently good and funny movie.. probably not worth what we paid, since we watched the movie in Oakridges XD theater... (Which is a bigger screen, more seats, and WAY more comfortable seats) The movie could have been a little bit longer and had more actual plot to it.. but it was the perfect date movie for Brandon and I. Alice in Wonderland was alright has well.. Visually it was stunning and the story line was really good, but I'm glad I waited to watch it OnDemand than see it in theaters. I have never been a huge fan of Alice In Wonderland though.. so, I didn't have high expectations in the first place.. Then, there was Shutter Island. Which was a great psychological thriller and Martin Scorcese can do no wrong. It is NOT as scary as it portrays it to be and is definitely an intriguing movie.

Also, Since I have been home.. I have finished reading L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad. Which was a decent book. Not a MUST read but nice, light, fun read for us girls. Than I read The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyers. For those, who don't know the book. It's really a "short story" about one of the newborns from the Twilight Sagas: Eclipse. It is basically shows the newborns story.point of view.. instead of Bella's. I originally found out about the book from Perez Hilton.. Saying that as a gift to her followers Stephenie Meyers put the short story up for free on the website... I being the OCD weird person I am debated if I wanted to actual buy the book or read it for free. A few things made my Decision. 1. I prefer reading actual BOOKS 2. It wasn't expensive and money from the book went to the American Red Cross and 3. I just wanted to complete collection for my series.. even if it wasn't the actual saga books it tied into them. Overall I enjoyed the book more than I though I would. Now, I am beginning to read Love The One Your With by Emily Giffin. If you have read my blogs, you may notice this name come up often.. I have become a big fan of her books because, they are real woman, and real woman experiences and thoughts and it's funny. I am excited to start this book, and just as excited to discover she has a new book out as well.

Oh, those sleeping pills are definitely kicking in now... being home Has been Nice.. not too eventful but nice. I have been going on my walks, which keep me in shape and get me out of those house.. Today, on my walk so many people slowed their cars down to point, wave and take pictures of me.. I guess they thought I was famous.. which is funny cause i'm NOT.. but I didn't ruin their fun.. I just smiled and waved back.. (btw I had a hat and sunglasses on..so my face wasn't exactly clear)Friday (the 11th) I drove down to Irvine and enjoyed the day with Natasha and Her friend Bobby. We shopped, ate and talked. GOOD DAY. It was really fun, especially all the dumb jokes that natasha and I make up. Hmm.. besides that nothing TOO crazy. Alright... can barely keep my eyes open.. NIGHT!

HAHA WOW... I ended and than posted this without even addressing what my actual Title means. 21. I turn 21 in roughly 4 months! So this is a crazy night and fun night for most people. However here is my Delemma.... my 21st birthday falls on a MONDAY! Uhm, people, have school, work, etc. So... that won't be too fun. I'm also, the only one of my friends who will be 21. So, simple solituion would be have your birthday at a places that serves alcohol but I can still have underage people with me.. I.E. a resturant of some sorts and Just have my birthday later in the weekend... the latter issue is the real problem. My birthday is only 6 days away from Halloween, so most people will be in Santa Barbara.. so I will have to celebrate it a week...2 weeks,, after my real 21st... THAN I realize that I only have 3 best friends. Natasha,Brandon and Natalie. and Natalie will be in England. Leaving.. just Natasha,Brandon and I.. which actually isn't a HUGE problem.. but I want my closest friends there and I want a PARTY. lol. I'm sure I will figure this issue out.. but it was just something that was bothering me! Okay, Night for REALS

Curse of Curves

Welp, I'm not really curvy actually.. Just my boobs. For those who don't know me...I have 32DD's. I absolutely loathe the fact that I have big boobs! Their is NOTHING, NOTHING good about them.. besides the attention from guys and the fact that girls get jealous of them and even that gets old.

Big boobs SUCK. Mainly because we live in a world that idolizes women with big boobs but also pushes their woman to be stick thin. So, clothes are made proportionately to the general public. Meaning woman who are smaller sizes generally have smaller boobs and woman who are bigger sizes have bigger boobs. Well here is my problem in this genre.. I am a size 2 with DD's... Therefore I can buy an extra small shirt, dress, etc and have my boobs falling out or i can buy an extra large and have my boobs perfectly situated and look 10 pounds bigger. I am also NOT ok with the fact that Bigger size clothes.. aren't always so fashionable! Why is that? Is the bigger person not entitle to looking good? Now.. adult sizes in general tend to run bigger and our fashionable in all means... but that is not MY style that is not the style of a younger adult...Frustrating!

I HATE bra shopping because They don't make the cute bras size DD.. not DD is reserved for the Grandma bras in plain black, white and nude. I also struggle with a bra that actually SUPPORTS my boobs. I again, don't know how they haven't made a CUTE bra that actually supports my boobs. In case, you didn't know big boobs tend to sag (gross word) more and give people back problems. I feel this issue needs to be address. Same Goes with bathing suit shopping. I'm not a fan of the beach.. but lately I think it has to do more with the fact that I hate shopping for bathing suits cause none of them ever actually fit. I'm an active person and although, I like to tan at the beach I also, want to be able to go run around and play; which is impossible when my bathing suits can't keep my boobs under control. I went onto Victoria Secrets website to look at Swimsuits.. since the sell them by bra size and not Small to Large. I was happy to see that they had an area for bigger boobs. Only to be disappointed in 1. the fact that most of the bathing suits were ugly and 2. the all stop at the cup size D. One site I went too.. only had ONE DD option and it was this hideous ty-dye tankini. I am sure the ty-dye tankini is cute to some people and they love it, but I believe I am not the only big boobed person out there who is upset by the lack of choices we have out there!

Bristol Palin

For those of you who are not sure who Bristol Palin is, she is the daughter of former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin. Bristol being known for being 18 and pregnant at the time of the 2008 election. This was consider to be a "scandal" given she was a teen parent and well her was running for vice president on the republican ticket.

Bristol has since then had her son Tripp and separated from her baby daddy Levi Johnston. She now speaks to teens about the prevention of teen pregnancy and has openly spoken about how had it is to be a teen mom. What shocks me is that a lot of media outlets are slamming her for this! Saying she is whining and doesn't love her child. This is unbelievable, here we have someone who is being honest and being a role model. She is saying it's hard, she is saying she wishes she would have waited, that doesn't mean she doesn't love her son, it means she just wishes she could be able to support her son better, therefore waiting till she was older. Would you rather have her going around saying..."oh, this is sooo easy...every teen should have kids" ?! What would you be more upset with.. your daughter coming home pregnant and saying " oh but Bristol Palin says it's easy"... To all the haters. FUCK YOU. And to say "oh.. my daughter wouldn't do that" ... remember the teens involved in The Pregnancy Pact? Those were girls who were not educated on contraception and wanted to be teen moms like Jamie Lynn Spears.

Proof Read.

I suck at proof reading. I don't do it. I type what I want to say... spell check and than post it. So I am sorry to whoever has ever read this and realized that some of what I write does not make sense (again probably doesn't help that I type them at the crack of dawn) I swear I am an educated person who excels at English. I'm just lazy at spell checking.

Anyways, I am now back in Toluca Lake living a happy life. The rest of my trip in San Jose was alright. Saturday I had Tea at Lisa's Tea Treasures in the Pruneyard with my Aunts Debbie & Diana, my cousin Taylor and my aunt's boyfriends mother. We had such a lovely time and I ended up buying a tea pot and two mugs as well as some tea. Later that night we ended going and seeing Kick Ass. Which was a pretty good movie. Personally, I think the movie was only good due to their AMAZING fight scenes. Sunday we ran some errands and I visited my Grandma's grave leaving her a Mother's Day card and flowers. Yesterday (May 3rd) was actually 2 years since she passed = (. Once I finally arrived in Burbank, after an hour delay. I picked up my Pink Leopard Print Betsey Johnson Travel bag up from baggage claim ONLY to see that it had be ripped down the sides. Normally I wouldn't care... but this is a fairly new, EXPENSIVE and cute bag. So now, I have to give them my bag.. so they can send it to Dallas, so Southwest HQ can decide how they want to compensate me. After dealing with that and arriving home to a disarrayed apartment....thanks to my lovely cats. I decided to set up my Wii and sync it up with my Netflix so I can stream movies from my comp. to my TV.. which would save me bundles of cash on ONDemand... unfortunately, It refused to connect to my Wi-Fi... which made me day THAT much better.

Better News...
Netflix now has WEEDS:Season 5 on watch Instantly(on my comp.) which I have been waiting forever for! Now just have to wait for Dexter and The Tudors newer seasons to do the same thing! Went on a long walk and started posting fliers for Dog Walking,Baby sitting or House Sitting Jobs and had lunch at Paty's learned more about my secret admirer.... Story is this guy comes in to Paty's everyday for years and orders take-out one day he saw me and now comes in and asks about me. According to the manager he has never noticed anybody till me and I guess, he saw my Republican sticker and liked it... cause " I don't act like it". So.. today they were telling me that he is a Personal Trainer who used go to USC. My mother thinks this is a potential stalker... but to be honest in Toluca Lake.... this has been normal for me. I am also, reading Sean Hannity's new book Conservative Victory and definitely enjoying it. Although, it is so frustrating to know the truth about Obama and see people still supporting him. Now, it is time for me to get back to sewing.

Can We Pretend...

...That Airplanes In The Night Sky, Are Like Shooting Stars? I Can Really Use A Wish Right Now...Wish Right Now...

Basically, A lyric from my favorite song at the moment. Airplanes- B.o.B ft. Hayley Williams and Eminem. Anyways.. life. I arrived in San Jose on Thurs. and can pretty much already can't wait to be home in Toluca Lake. It's interesting how being in San Jose makes me feel more "childish" I guess. My personality for the most part changes when I come back. When I'm here, I just want my mom to do everything... although ironically, I don't really see her... although at time when I'm in Toluca Lake I do miss San Jose, but that's because I become lonely.

So far, I just want to be home. Being back has been drama. I'm going to be honest Brandon's mom is crazy, I have to like her cause she's Brandon's mom, but I am so happy that Brandon is done with her. I have never meant a more selfish, immature 45 year old in my life. It is frustrating because I don't want stuff to be strained between us, but she really does it to herself and I had enough of it when it started affecting Brandon and bringing him down. Anyways, due to this drama I was kicked off the phone line that I shared with them. So today my mom, Brandon and I spent hours at the T-Mobile store setting up our account. I'm going to be honest, I am disappointed that I cannot use my old # which I have had since I was 13 but I guess it is something I will have to get used too, I am happy that I get to have My blackberry back = ) Today, I am doing Tea with the woman on my Dad's side of the family and I am really actually excited for it! Sad my Grandma can't be there, makes even harder since it's only 2 days away from when she passed.

I can never end this properly, cause I get so tired I just want to sleep... keep you readers aka ONE reader ha and it's my mom.. updated. Night <3

I Am Blessed

Everyone had their good days and their bad days, but the one thing I always need to remember is how blessed I am. I am blessed to have found my loving and amazing fiance, I am Blessed to have the friends that I still have.. cause those are who real friends are and most of all to have such an AMAZING family.

I am Blessed.

I am blessed to have the opportunities that I have been given thanks to the love, support and generosity of my family. There is this saying that I got from my friend Natalie "Friends are the family you wish you had" which makes sense because friends really know you in a different way than your family does. However, family would (at least they should) always be there for you to support you. REALLY they should unless you've committed some horrible unspeakable act. Otherwise, family never lets you down. At least mine doesn't. I may not always see eye to eye with my family, but I know that they love me and I love them. I am Blessed.

It amazes me about how some people don't value family as much. How some people can be SO SO SO SO SO SO selfish and delusional. I feel sorry for the people who don't have family, but if you can rise above that, say "fuck you" and find people who love you and support you. Then You are Blessed.

We often take for granted how blessed we are.

Parenting For Dummies

I have a love/hate relationship with Perez Hilton. Especially as of lately, since a lot of is postings have been posted late and can be miss-informed. However, he has been talking a lot about Lindsay Lohan and her family and all their drama. I know that everything is not what it seems from the outside looking in; but..... this is OBVIOUSLY a dysfunctional family.

For the past 3 years or so... Lindsay as been known more for her trips to rehab,DUI's, Arrests and partying every night than the fact that she was once a successful model/actress/singer. All we hear now is about her skipping her court appearances to go shopping, being bankrupt, partying to hard, making false allegations towards her ex, stealing, and getting dropped from roles. I mean she is so bad, that directors refuse to work with her and the Jersey Shore cast gets paid more than she does for club appearances! Seriously, this chick needs help!

The worst part is that her "concerned" father is a fame whore and her mother is in complete denial and likes fame pimping her daughters out. I have never seen a mother despite all evidence proving otherwise, continues to say her daughters career is doing amazing, that she is not bankrupt and that she is completely and totally sober. REALLY? REALLY?! Have we not seen where this will lead too. It is SO bad that LA newspapers have ALREADY written Lohan's obituary. We all see it and the person who can do the most to stop her and help her enables her and not only enables her but allows her younger daughter to be exposed to it. Ali, Lindsay's sister now lives with her in LA and the have been spotted clubbing together constantly (FYI: Ali is 16) and it doesn't help that their Dad just uses Lindsay's problems to gain him some camera time. It really and truly is unfortunate.

IN OTHER NEWS....

Life for me has been okay. Was a little stressed for a little bit, cause Brandon was kicked out, so I was naturally worried for him.. but he has a plan and I am happy for him. I am also happy because he came down to visit me. The first 2 days we didn't do much but hang out; but yesterday we decided to go to Disneyland and it ended up that his friends Kevin and Michelle were visiting Disneyland at the same time. So we spent the night hanging out with them at Disneyland and we had SO SO SO much fun. I really enjoyed it cause it was our first time hanging out with another couple and on top of that they are married; so we had a better understanding of each other since Brandon and I engaged. Then this afternoon Brandon and I went back to Disneyland and had such a fun day. I will be sad for him to leave, but I'm visiting San Jose next weekend ; so it will only be a 3 day difference.

I have decided to stay here for the summer and work my butt off working, while taking online classes. I am really excited to work and take the Online classes. I'm thinking of doing Dog Walking for a little bit. Mainly, cause it is good money, my hours and I get a work out. I got this idea, because I take Walks around Toluca Lake everyday and see people walking their dogs. So, I thought about all the rich people in Toluca Lake who have dogs and need them walked. HA perfect. We will see how that pans out... but in general I LOVE Toluca Lake and I LOVE the houses in Toluca Lake, I just want to buy them all! Hmm, well as usual. This has exhausted me. Night.

Maturity Vs Immaturity

There is a fine line between maturity and immaturity, that is different in different situations and doesn't always involve age. There is the literal sense of being mature - which is older and more life experience/growing and the literal sense of immature - still having growing up to do. In most people no matter what their age be, still have "immature" qualities but nothing that would make you say that person is immature.

I think you find maturity and immaturity in the cases of Drama. Almost everyone hates drama, but usually has some sort of drama in their lives. I personally try to avoid drama... doesn't mean I don't have drama or people trying to cause drama. I think when drama begins, you have to know your opponent, know your principles and know when to either stick up for yourself or when to just ignore it.

The internet is like the fuel to the fire of immaturity and drama. I love Facebook and I love status updates, i love telling people how I feel, what I'm doing, etc. Even if no one really cares. I also for the most part like to keep it real; you just have to know when it's time to speak and when it's time to keep your mouth shut. Ah... keeping your mouth shut, something to be honest; i'm not so good at. I like the truth and I like people to know the truth; but I don't ever want to seriously offend anyone...a balancing act really. And yes, sometimes I just wabt to be the bitch and tell it like it completely is; sometimes I do want to call people out, but THAT would be immature. when it comes to the internet you need to know these things, cause this is how drama begins. However, it's not always the speaker who instigates the drama but the reader who may start the drama.

Example:
If the speaker states a fact w/o calling out/mocking any form of rudeness towards a person/place or thing. -Mature, not instigating
If Reader decides to get offended and call out speaker therefore starting a problem - immature, instigator
If speaker personally calls out, mocks and belittles a person -immature,instigator.

The point is either side can be immature, it just depends on who causes the drama. I have seen this happen more then once and it is a shameful thing. Doing so , on the internet usually gives less credit to maturity on either side, but does not change the fact that the instigator is almost always the immature one.Mainly, when making drama out of nothing. I could go into more depth, but shall refrain for it is time to say good-bye and enjoy my fiance's visit.

Stalker or Just Great Detective Skills.

I have this skill, where when bored.. I am really good at finding out things about every body's lives. It isn't even a necessary need to know; I, for the most part don't even care. I just do it. I just wind up finding stuff out about people through Facebook, google, twitter, myspace, blogger, etc. Some people say this is stalker status, I on the other hand think I just have really good detective skills. I believe it's not a stalker like habit because I have no malignant intentions with the information I learn.

There are times when I do want to learn things about people though and then this skill becomes an AMAZING habit to have, still creepy but useful. Again, not really something I care about just want to know. I think every women has at least ONCE in there life googled there Exes new girlfriend. It's not that you are jealous and want him back. It's you want to know that she is horrible and not as cool as you are. Really, it is. You don't want your ex back, but you want him to want you back. HA. Usually this search and stalk ends up blowing up in your face, cause usually the girl is generally like-able and maybe under different circumstances you could be friends. Fail. Now, this can backfire on you if you ARE a person who still has feelings for your Ex. In that case, I advise you do not do this. Do not google, stalk your exes girlfriend, it will end up hurting you more then you are already hurting. Move on.

I also, have an obsession with finding out other peoples drama. I find this to be the best type of drama to be involved it though, because at the end of the day. It doesn't personally affect you. My fiance will deny it, but even he will sometimes to do it. Someone will say " So and so cheated on so and so" and then the other will reply " I know, what a loser how could so-so, do that to so-so, they seemed so nice" and then we discuss and analyze there life. Pathetic, maybe. Entertaining, most definitely.

Keep Denying

I have always been opinionated, but as far as politics go, I share fairly moderate views for a Republican. In politics I believe both sides have there problems but as of lately I will more willingly side with the Right then the left.
For those who know me they would know that I am not a big fan of Obama. Never have been and honestly, never will be.
My problem doesn't just lie with Obama, it lies with the fact that people voted for Obama. That people believe in Obama and think he is so amazing, despite all the FACTS against him.
FACTS! Not just heresy, not just the conservative talk show host and FOX news "bias" media. FACTS! My problem is when people start denying facts. When people start making excuses for the facts. Instead of owning up to it. It's like a mother protecting her child who just murdered another human being "he didn't really mean to do it, he's a nice boy really." Bullshit, Bullshit, Bullshit!! The liberals say "Obama he's not a socialist, he's not a Muslim extremist, he's not an elitist" but everything he has done, his WHOLE life says differently. He's even admitted to these things in his own books. Yet, somehow self-admission isn't good enough.
Keep Denying that Obama isn't a socialist when he himself was a member of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA); Keep Denying he isn't a communist when the Communist Party of the United States of America as well as DSA endorsed his Campaign.
Even the company he keeps is all wrong, yet the liberals claim "Guilt by Association" I'm sorry, but being friends with people like William Ayers,Marilyn Katz,Bernadine Dohrn,Saul Alinsky,Rev. Jeremiah Wright and so many others.
William Ayers: you may have heard of him, in the 60's he was wanted as a domestic terrorist for bombings. Obama claims to not have known about this and to not have known William Ayers all that well. Yet, William hosted an event his home launching Obama's run for state senate.
Marilyn Katz: Who is a radical leftist, who participated in a guerrilla tactics force. Caught by undercover cops, instructing other members how to use weapons and guerrilla nails. She went on the be Obama's campaign organizer.
Bernadine Dohrn:Ayers wife is someone who has been on the FBI's 10 most wanted listed and who said at a radical democratic society gathering "Dig it! Manson Killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, then they shoved a fork into a victim's stomach"
Saul Alinsky: who is also a leftist radical. Wrote the book Rules for Radicals, was an attorney for ACORN. A man who has openly claimed to be a Marxist (as well as Ayers) and someone who Obama has openly said is his mentor.
Rev. Jeremiah Wright: He is the Reverend at the Trinity Unity Church in Chicago (TUCC.org). A church Obama had been attending with his wife and family for many years. The Reverend even was chosen to marry Barrack and Michelle. However, he too is a radical, but he is also a black supremacist. He talks about h=the superiority of the black man, constantly. If black was changed to white, the world would go crazy in a frenzy about the unjust. He has constantly given sermons about how America deserved AIDS and 9/11 how it was the white Christians faults that led to this. Obama claims to have not known this side of Wright. Yet, how can you know this person for 20 years, attend his services and listen to those hateful sermons and say you have never seen that side of a person. A man who also believes in Black Muslim and the power of Islam. How can you not know?

When he lived in Indonesia as a citizen (which by the way does not allow dual citizenship) with his Mom. Obama talked about how his mother was about of the communist party there and about how his mother constantly taught him to not be arrogant and stupid like those Americans. How?! are you not in SOME way affected by this?! I Just do not understand! I could give lists upon lists of socialist associations Obama has been apart of or had contact with.

How?! How do we keep denying. That he is not a socialist. Are we America that much in denial, to realize we have allowed a Marxist to rule our country or is that what you really want. Are you done with the American Dream? Are You done being the capitalist country that gave some many immigrants from socialist and communist countries hope?! If so, if you really aren't denying that he is in FACT a socialist, then fine. Leave AMERICA then America is the home of the free, home of the brave. The land of hopes, dreams and opportunity. If you don't like it then go to the socialist countries. Move there, and leave America how many of us still like it.

Where to Begin?

I've been lazy about updating this. = (
Where to begin? Where to Start?
Life as been going pretty well... March Came and went. Nothing TOO exciting. At the end of March, Brandon came to visit, but mostly he came down for a LAN in Moreno Valley. For those who don't know and LAN is a tournament for computer nerds (haha) Brandon plays Counterstrike Source and I guess, if amazing at it or something. So him and his buddies made a team called GX and competed. Thursday night I picked him up at the airport and basically we just fell asleep. Then Friday, we went horseback riding at Griffith Park Equestrian and well rode horses. That was a lot of fun and was interesting riding horses in LA, tunnels under freeways, bridges over man made rivers.. fun stuff. After we went to the Burbank Town Center and Then I cooked us some dinner = ) The next day his team met us at my apartment and before we left for Howies in Moreno Valley (for them to practice) we had lunch at Paty's, where we also had a Miley Cyrus/Liam Hemsworth Siting. After, we left for Howie's and got stuck in LA traffic, but not JUST ANY LA Traffic, LA traffic + 3 Car accidents. OK, this is boring. On the way to practice I got sick.... and felt bad cause on tourny day (sunday) I missed half of Brandon's games due to being sick. Eventually, i felt better and drove myself to Moreno Valley to "cheer" them on. His team ended up winning 1st place. After That, we drove back up to San Jose for my spring break; where we didn't really do much since all my friends already had spring break and Brandon had work. Easter was a nice day. Sat. we drove up to El Dorado to stay withh his Grandparents on his Mom's side then Easter morning; after Brandon and I found the baskets we made for each other we drove To Granite Bay Brunch with his mom's family at his Aunt and Uncle's Home. After That we drove to Elk Grove to his Grandma and Granpa Gregorio's to have dinner with that side of the family. Overall it was a great day. Now. I am back in LA and bored, but LOVING it.Just need to find a job and decide how my summer is going to be like.

Also, I have read 2 books. I'm not sure If I told you about Baby Proof my Emily Giffin, but overall I liked the book. Not as much, as I like her first to books, but it was witty and funny and in ways realistic. I also, like how she tied characters from his first 2 books into this one. After that I read "Chelsea,Chelsea, Bang, Bang" by Chelsea Handler and was as usual throughly amused by the book. It's a great read and will definitely make you die of laughter. Now I am reading Sean Hannity's new book "Conservative Victory" and although I am only 20 pages into. I am outraged; love the book, but am outraged by how our country elected Obama.Absolutely disgusted and outraged.

Now, it is time for bed.

Long Time....

I Don't Even Know, Why I'm Posting a Blog really... but, I guess.. it's because it has almost been a month since I posted. Although, I doubt... anyone was fretting that I haven't written a blog in a few weeks.. nor do I think anyone besides my mom actually read my Blogs. In case you didn't notice I tend to Have a need to Capitalize letters in words that do not NEED to be capitalized. I just do it, I don't know why.. it's more of a compulsion.

BLAH, So.. I have been pretty much sick on and off these past few weeks. Which is basically why, I have not written yet. So as far as school is concerned, it has been fine. As far as job searching has been.. EH! I guess my problem is because I don't want a typical job. I refuse to work at a restaurant again. I NEED experience, I need to be able to put something else on my resume, besides being a waitress. I need creditability. Minus, jobs in general being scarce; it is hard to find a job I want. Then, if I do find a job I want, that meets most of my requirements. Something gets in the way.. such a SCHOOL. Which is annoying, since I am going to school to get better jobs.. oh the Irony. .

On top, being sick has ruined my sleep schedule. So, now i'm tired all day and up all night!

I have read many books Since we have last chatted. I have read "My Sister's Keeper" and "Dear John". I loved loved loved loved loved "My Sister's Keeper" it was perfect and the ending was just unexpected. However, I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE the movie, to anyone who has seen the movie and thought they now have "read" the book, WRONG. The movie is absolutely NOTHING like the movie. Basically, the director, producer, screenwriter, whatever thought it would be nice to the have a famous bestselling book as the title of there movie take the basic concept of the movie and then change everything to what they wish the book had been. It was really horrible. I was disappointed in the actors as well. Alec Baldwin,Cameron Diaz, and Abigail Breslin, did an okay performance, definitely not up to their caliber of acting and then worse of all that they would even sign on to do this movie!
and for the acclaim that the movie Dear John has been getting (which I have not seen) I did not fall in love with the book, so maybe the movie will do something for me. Now I'm reading, "Baby Proof" by Emily Giffin and it took awhile for me to get into, but now I am really enjoying it. I like Emily Giffin's books and writing A LOT.

Mmh, Tired. Good Night.

WHAT A WEEK!

Last week I started school!
I fell in love with ALL my teachers, minus my Sociology teacher.. ugh that was painful. There is so much more to why I didn't like her... but the selling points on dropping her class were the highest grade you can get in her class is a C(Sidebar: WHY?! why would ANYONE stay in a class and risk their GPA to only get a C!) UNLESS, you are willing to do heinous amounts of extra credit to receive just a B! AGH!...THEN.. she announces she is a Marxist and Atheist! So, I dropped that class IMMEDIATELY .

Minus, this past week also being President's Week and having F.S.Su.M.T off it was also, Valentine's Day week. I was bummed that my fiance Brandon couldn't come down to visit, but extremely excited that my mom wanted to come visit. So I cleaned up my apartment on Friday and waited. Around 9pm Someone knocks on the door and I open it to a HUGE teddy bear,Heart Shaped Box of See's Candy, a gift bag and rose petals surrounding it! I orginally thought it was my mom, trying to make me feel better, but i looked to my right and standing there was Brandon! I was immediately thrilled! My mom and him had planned for him to surprise me all week!So Saturday we ate at Paty's for breakfast, then i drove him up to the Hollywood Sign, Which this week was changed into "Save The Peak" so that sucked that he couldn't see it! Then, we went to Pink's Hot Dogs and stood in that line forever and ate some YUMMY hot dogs and cheeseburgers. After that we walked around the Grove and then saw a movie at the Burbank Town Center. We watched Valentine's Day. Which was a decently good movie, made your laugh, made you cry...was perfect for what else? Valentine's Day. Then Sunday, THE ACTUAL Valentine's Day we woke up and went to Bob's Big Boy for breakfast,we sat there thinking about what we could do with out day but everything just didn't fit (mainly cause we were on a budget) We decided on Knott's Berry Farms which neither of us had been and they were having a couple special , so our ticket was fairly cheap! I really like it! Knotts is like a less cool version of Disneyland and a WAY better version of Great America. The rides there are REALLY REALLY good and Brandon and I enjoyed playing the carnival games. After we drove back home, dressed quickly and went to Mo's in Toluca Lake for Dinner, then came home and watched Sleeping Beauty. Monday, we just drove around, ran some errands and then he left = (.

In Other News, I finished "Something Blue" and I for sure enjoyed it. I really ended up liking the main character, which in the beginning I was determined not too! Now, I am beginning to read "Reservation Road" by John Burnham Schwartz. It was made into a movie last year, but I think people may have gotten confused, because it came out the same time as "Revolutionary Road" anyways I have yet to see the movie to the book, although I have heard good things about it. I am a true believer that the book is always better then the movie, but so far... I am not sure; maybe it just starts off slow. Well, I will be go now and run some errands = )

Rain, Rain Go Away

The other day I had such a good topic to type about.. yet I had such trouble logging into my Blogger account, which I usually do and then later I re-attempt to log in and everything works fine. Now, that I am logged in.. I will type what may end up being a severely long blog.

Last week (Thurs. to be exact) I flew back home to San Jose, yet it is funny how quickly I had made Burbank/Toluca Lake my home. I mean San Jose will always be home-home but everything had already felt foreign to me back home. It was nice to see everyone again, and obviously my Fiance Brandon >Paty's.

Wow, I already can't remember everything I wanted to share!

Well. lets see.. I finished reading The Lovely Bones.. which I found to be an amazing book and would recommend for ANYONE to read. It definitely captures a real life situation and makes you feel and understand what every single character is going through and it's believable. I like that it doesn't only touch on the after life but it also, shows you the killers past life and what happened to make him who he is. Personally, i did not care for the ending, yet.. the ending was realistic. Now, I have begun reading Something Blue by Emily Giffin which is the sequel to Something Borrowed. The first few chapters may be a little boring since it is basically re-capping what happened in the first book, it's still mildly interesting cause you see it through Darcy's point of view and her feelings. So far, it's cute and different...I will enjoy seeing where this leads.

Yesterday, I did my first solo LA freeway drive (at night!) to Lakewood/Long Beach to meet up with Natasha and watch her boyfriend play hockey. He plays for San Jose State and they were playing against CSULB. The game was definitely intense and Long Beach played dirty, but San Jose won the game 6-3 or something like that. Overall, it was nice to see Natasha and hang out. They have a game tonight in Anaheim against USC but depending on the weather, I may or may not go. At The moment it is a thunder and lighting storm. Which in general dampens my plans for today just in Toluca Lake. I mean the people down here are horrible at driving when it's sprinkling, let alone a thunder storm. I don't go out period, during rain around here.

Next Blog will be about Books to read if you're in the mood for Valentines day and other things.. I know I promised a Political Blog, but I'm never motivated to write one at the right moments.

Redeemed

I have nothing really to say today, besides the fact that The Coffee Bean Redeemed itself completely today! I ordered a Caramel and Chocolate Ice Blended and it is EPIC! Now As I sit at the Coffee Bean eatting my chocolate Croissant and drinking my ice blended. I am surrounded by plenty of people typing away on there laptops, talking amongst themselves and sipping there drinks. The People here are actually really friendly and laid back. I can definitely say Toluca Lake has really captured a spot in my heart.

Beside, that I happy to say that I have found my wedding venue. Even If it is in New York, it has EVERYTHING I could have wanted and more in my wedding. everything I couldn't find in California. I am so happy and extremely protective of it as well, ready to verbally attack someone who says otherwise.

Later, this week.. I will be making a trip back home. Which I am extremely excited for! To see my family and to see Brandon Of course. I was waiting for Brandon to visit me and realized "hey, I can drive up!" I have 2 weeks til' school starts and the dreary weather has prevented me from going out and about Toluca Lake as well, being able to see my So.Cal friends. I truly cannot wait. Told you I had nothing really to say. Alright, I better get going before i get a parking ticket!

In My Opinion....

Although, every once in the awhile I love a good movie re-make, I usually enjoy originality in my movies these days. Perhaps, because most movies lack originality. I recently watched two movies Fame(2009) and 500 Days of Summer.

Personally, I was never really a fan of the original movie Fame, but love the soundtrack of the musical. To be honest, I can't even remember a lot of the original movie; since it bored me. I expected a lot of 2009's remake though. The movie had too many "creative differences" from the original and the play. It just lacked so much, and I can see why the director of the original movie hated this version. Bottom line, not worth seeing.

500 Days of Summer on the other hand, was extremely original. The movie is cute, creative and funny. I would recommend the movie to anyone and everyone. It is definitely a boy meets girl movie, boy falls in love.. but with a twist. Definitely will brighten your day and make you smile. Plus the lead actor is uber cute = )

As for books, I am currently reading "Something Borrowed" by Emily Giffin. I have not yet finished it but am a Chapter or two away from being done. I would definitely recommend this book to someone who was looking for a pleasant light read. The premise of the book, is Rachel this normal type-A lawyer has an affair with her best friend since elementary school Darcy's fiance. The book is realistic but will have you rooting for Rachel, even if you are not an adulteress most women can easily relate to the life style and personality of Rachel. Unless, you're a Darcy... then maybe you won't like this book. The book is cute and not completely original, but not something you've really read before. Once I'm finished I plan on reading "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold. I want to see the movie SO SO bad, but I am a firm believer in reading the books before seeing the movies, mainly because the book is ALWAYS better then the movie. Then after that I will read the follow-up book to "Something Borrowed" called "Something Blue".

Not That My Opinion on these movies or book really matter, but I thought I would share. Besides, that life in Burbank has been nice. Minus the crazy rain storms we've been receiving, which has kept me inside... no offense to southern Californians, but they don't really know how to drive in the rain. So I opted to stay of the roads while it was raining, which is annoying since I need to go run some errands. Hopefully, today won't be so rainy.

One Week Down...

It has finally been a full week since I have moved down to Burbank. How has my experience been so far.....? eh. I can't exactly explain it. Driving and parking are definitely something I will have to get used to down here. Since being down here I have already received a speeding ticket and parking citation. The parking citation kind of sucked..You see, down here they have certain days for street sweeping, which means on those days you cannot park on the street from 8am to 10am. Which sucks even more for me since I do not have a car port and only have street parking. Now, the city is smart and the opposite sides of the road are on different days. My side is Wednesday and the other side is Tuesday. So, Tuesday night i move my car into the court across the street, solving my problem...or so I thought... Apparently, although the court is on the Tuesday side of the street, the court also get cleaned on Wednesday, leaving me with a $40 citation. = ( Besides, that parking in general down here is new to me, most places have small behind the building parking lots that fill quick, which means parking on the street and usually parallel parking. Now, my parallel parking skills have never been terrible.. however, I avoid it as much a possible and usually only parallel park when I know for sure I room to fit. Now, down here all of a sudden; I am the parallel parking queen, it is crazy, how quick and easy it for me. Driving as well is different yet, I am managing, people drive a little more quicker and pushier then I am used to and almost all left hand turns are unprotected. So, I have to definitely keep my guard up and be an amazing defensive driver. Otherwise, I am adapting well.

What Else?
So far, I have eaten breakfast and dinner at Paty's; which was yummy and have stopped off at Target, the post office and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Overall my experience with people here as been AMAZING. [Sidebar:although I Live in Burbank, I am in the are of Toluca Lake and that's where most these places are] I have come to find that Toluca Lake and the people of Toluca Lake are so friendly! I love how it has a touch of LA/Hollywood but without the bitchiness of it. Wherever I go people start conversations with me and greet me on the streets. Just lovely.
Today, I was going to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and this old man and I started a conversation. His son owns the Mexican grill next to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and the man said if I ever come in and he is there, that I will be his special guest. Could be creepy, but I could tell he was generally a nice man. Also, today I bought lemonade from Miley Cyrus' little sister Noah. Her and her friend were selling lemonade to raise money for the people of Haiti, on the corner near Bob's Big Boy. It was really cute. PS. Although, I have been told Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is phenomenal I have yet to be impressed by the green tea, it is atrocious... but, I have yet to try their coffee, so hopefully they can redeem their good name.

Besides good friendly people, we can talk about... not so, friendly people. Ugh! The other day I lost two of my best friends (now former best friends) the reasons for this in my opinion are childish. I have a feeling that this is something that was going to happen and I had prolonged from happening, since they have been my close friends for years. The circumstances of how it went down, I wish were different. I honestly have so much to say to them. but probably never will since now, they are useless and saying them on a blog post is just as useless and lame. It is just unfortunate that people can be so selfish and hurtful and blinded. That was something that definitely made this move a downer, especially since a small part of moving down here was to be closer to them.

On a happier note, I have almost finished building everything, that I got at IKEA. Thanks to the help of my dad who is visiting for the weekend. My table is now upright in the kitchen and not laying on it's side, the coffee table and drawer are built and I have Internet and cable service. = ) All that is left is to build the desk and then I can REALLY start unpacking everything and giving it, it's rightful place.

This week has had it's ups and it's downs, but it really is just to make me a stronger person.

You're Now Arriving In Burbank

After a stressful packing session on Saturday morning, My Mom, Brandon and I left to drop me off at my new home, in Burbank,CA. The 6 hour drive was rather easy (minus the heavy fog and crazy rain) and we made our usual stop at Harris Ranch. If you have never been to Harris Ranch and your ever driving I-5 (near Bakersfield) I suggest you stop in. The only not usual about this stop is the fact that CHP decided to pull me over for speeding. Personally, I compared to most of the drivers on I-5 I think I was going pretty slow, and I'm 90% sure i was in 70-80mph range. According to him, I was going 92-97 while he was following me! Now, here is my problem, I regularly check for highway patrol and did NOT see any in site and I also, always check my rear mirror to see if anyone behind me is riding my ass and i need to move over. For the few miles no one was behind me. I Only noticed him when I was getting on to the off ramp for Harris Ranch. Needless to say, I got a ticket and will now be waiting for my letter in the mail about how much my fine is and traffic school. CAN'T WAIT!

Around 7:30pm we arrived in Burbank and got me settled into my apartment. After we ate at Bob's Big Boy and then Brandon and I went and saw Avatar at The Burbank Town Center. For those people who rave and rant about how amazing Avatar is... I would like to ask them WHY?! The story line is UNORIGINAL,The Message is UNORIGINAL (and quite horribly liberal in my opinion) and it's WAY too long! The only thing cool about it, is the special effects, which we've seen before. You could just watch Disney's Pocahontas and you would have the same movie! Anyways, after that was done I took Brandon back to my apartment and I went to the hotel to sleep (Unsuccessfully).

So, now we are on to my day today. Today, we all went and had Breakfast at Paty's then went over to the Mall and shopped at IKEA, Surprisingly the experience was not horrendous and I am very pleased with what I got.(and Thankful, to My mom for getting me the stuff) After that it was grocery shopping at Vons, then back to the apartment for Good-Byes = ( I am sad that my mom and Brandon have left.. Yet, it is truly not hit me; that I am living on my own.

So now, I am laying on the floor, with my two cats, alone in an apartment, full of stuff yet to be unpacked and furniture yet to be assembled....

Not Enough Hours In A Day..

I am absolutely horrible at packing, mostly for my skills of heavy procrastination and plain laziness. This week was really suppose to be reserved for full on packing and shopping. It is now Friday at 4:51am and I managed to get my butt up around 2am and actually get things organized. At least Friday I have Brandon to help me, and he will kick my butt into full fledged packing shape.

Lately, I tend to feel that there are not enough hours in a day and that could be for my insomnia and sleeping in till noon or later, but I always feel by the time I get started on something that the day has already ended. I constantly feel as if if 3 hours is short like if I have to be somewhere at 6 pm.. then I need to get in the shower at 3.. then wait till my hair dries so by 4 I'm straightening it and then by 5 I'm getting dressed and working on last minute details and by 5:30 I'm on my way out... I don't know how these short things seem so long and do take long since.. i can get take a shower in 10 minutes, straighten my hair in 30 min (or less) and get dressed in roughly 10 minutes. So really that's less then an Hour.. yet it comes out to 3 hours.. I just don't understand.
This applies to my packing since, I plan so much to do in a day yet, feel i only have time do accomplish about 3 things in a day. Frustrating.

Today, I told Brandon to be here around 10am (for us that is relatively earlier on a lazy day) and while he is here we have to pack my stuff, put into cars, feed the cats, and move the cats from my dad's to my moms, mail a few college books back,go through boxes in the garage and clean my car all before roughly 4pm where I have a doctors appt. then after that at 6:30pm I am saying good-bye and hanging out with a 7-year old girl I babysit/sat for. I just don't know how I will have time to get everything done!

THEN. get up Saturday morning and finish whatever packing I have left and leave to Burbank with Brandon... 6 hours later arrive in Burbank and have to unpack.. buy, assemble, whatever it is you need for a new apartment in whatever time is left on Saturday and get it done the next day before the afternoon. I guess, I'm really over thinking things and I know it will all work out, it always does but I can't stop stressing myself over it.

The Magic That Is Disney

For those who truly know me, they know that i am obsessed with Disney. I know all the lyrics to the songs, I kick ass at Disney trivia games and I love Disneyland. If it's Disney I will most likely love it.

I believe my obsession for Disney began when my parents took me to Disneyland when I was three for my birthday. I vaguely remember much from that trip, but what i do remember is sitting in a giant chair, in captain hook's cafe (in side the Disneyland Hotel Resort area) now called The Lost Bar. Anyways, i remember sitting their and receiving a giant cupcake and people singing happy birthday to me. I know this seems like any other kids birthday.. but to me it was magical.

All my trips to Disneyland are Magical, sure the glitz and glamour as died down a little now that i am older... but I LOVE Disney and Disneyland. I go to Disneyland at least once a year if not more and every time i go under the bridge and read the infamous sign above the bridge tunnel " Here You Leave Today and Enter The World Of Yesterday,Tomorrow and Fantasy" and once walk under that bridge and into main Street and am instantly taken back into a different era and I believe it. Disneyland holds magical powers. I believe there is no such thing as a bad day at Disneyland..even when you technically are having a bad day, it can't be bad at Disneyland. Disneyland is always fun, rain or shine. I have had many memories at Disneyland since i was 3. From all the rides to wearing mickey ears to getting characters signatures to watching the numerous parades and performances to the numerous birthdays to getting proposed to in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. Disneyland is Magical.

Obviously, Disneyland became so magical because of the movies that made the magic ( and ok maybe a man named Walt Disney) I love my Disney movies, i am a fan of most, but generally I am in love with the animated movies. The Fantasy and i absolutely enjoy the idea that maybe magic, fantasy and fairytales do exist. I can't help but love Disney movies. They are inspiring, they make me believe in true love and prince charming and magic and good overcoming evil. It gives me hope and it inspires me to DREAM.
